I would like to introduce this section and welcome anyone who has been curious enough to have made it this far… Congratulations! This is the first step towards a scientific mind: without curiosity, human beings would not have discovered everything they have discovered, and this curiosity is what will lead us to know our animals from a new perspective, less objectified, less humanized, and more real.
My first goal in writing this series of articles is to spread love for animals in general, and to encourage responsibility as guardians to care for them and take the best possible care of them. To do this, knowledge and adequate information are essential… and that will be my main task.
All my work, and everything I am going to write in this section, is based on truths studied or demonstrated through the scientific method. However, as a communicator I allow myself to adapt this knowledge to common language and the practicality of real life. This may lead to the fact that at times I may seem to deviate from the veracity of science, but it will only be for practical and informative purposes to make all this real knowledge accessible to everyone.
With this I want to emphasize that my goal is not to write technical essays, but to share practical advice that can help anyone who needs it; although it is equally important to emphasize that everything I am going to say here has a studied and proven justification, and it does not only have to do with personal values, but with current universal knowledge.
Although I personally defend animal ethics as a basic principle of my work and my relationship with animals, the fact that I vehemently defend the use of gentle methods in canine and feline education has more to do with science than with my values; since scientifically there are a variety of studies that reject the use of aversive methods in animal behavior modification, due to all the negative side effects associated with them.
